This 1970 Camaro has been certified and Inspected by Camaro Hi-Performance and found to be an original Z28 Camaro 350-360 horsepower V-8 LT-1 with Turbo 400 3- Speed transmission and factory 12-bolt rear axle. Only 8,733 Z28's were produced in 1970 making this model one of the more collectable high performance models for the 1970 model year. This Camaro has spent time in the Hendrick Performance Heritage Center and has undergone a 168 point inspection in its time spent there. Sold new at Jack Douglas Chevrolet in Hinsdale, IL, a dealer that is well known in the high performance muscle car world, this Z has an NCRS shipping data report to back it up.

Trim Plate Data:
04D- Build Date
14-B: Paint Code
Z28.19: Option Codes
274549: NOR #
711: Trim Code

As noted in our authenticity documents, the engine and rear axle stampings do match all original stampings in the Camaro HI-Performance data base. The exterior and interior are in wonderful condition and the colors all line up with the trim tag on the firewall. The highly desirable LT-1 engine is now driven by a 4- speed manual transmission that truly makes this '70 Z28 a joy to drive. Followed by power steering, power disc brakes and Rally Sport equipment with rare split bumpers, this Camaro is a blast to drive to your local cruise nights and car shows.

Who would restore a 1970 Z28 with only 14 thousand miles on it, and use incorrect
parts? Also, the redline is 6500, not 8000.

LMAO, split bumper is the Ralley Sport Option. Great deatail? No. Get rid of the incorrect rad fan shroud, steering wheel, shifter stick, master cylinder and seat belt holder on the inner roof. Those documents really don’t mean squat. Produce the protecto plate or the build sheet. If its a LA built car then they will have build sheets hidden and Norwood built cars did not. My 1st Z/28 I bought was a 1968 back in 1974. Besides owning a 71 Z28, I’ve ordered new Z28’s in 77, 78 and 80 and currently own a. 1970 Z28 which I purchased is 1981 from the original owner. All my cars were 4 speeds and as you may know all 67-69;Z/28’s were only available in 4 speeds. BTW the front spoiler was not available in a 1970 Z28 or the 3 piece high rear deck spoiler UNLESS you ordered a COPO Z28. Too bad they didn’t show the floor mounted gas pedal which was unique to the Z28. I like that silver 1965 C2 Corvette Stingray Coupe.

Actually it's a Rally Sport Camaro an option which includes the front split bumper .

Why does it say TH 400 Transmission in the description, when it is, in fact a 4. Speed manual ????

Rally Sport was just a trim option available with the z28 package, however this car is not completely correct. Missing the rear bumper guards, steering wheel not correct, shift knob not correct, also pretty sure it does not have the correct embossed bowtie center caps. Hard to tell on those. I am sure there is more minor details incorrect, but a good starter Camaro. Just needs more of the correct parts to make it concourse show worthy.

Way too many wrong parts on this one for it to be what it's claimed to be.
