I have been using the Ranger 1400 for two months and it works flawlessly. Very bright and works great. I love it. I wish that the bike lights would focus more on beam patterns so that cars were not blinded by the light. They can cut the lenses to work like car lenses without the blinding light. I use the full 1400 as a high beam and the lowest setting as a low beam. A quick touch of the button switches the light pattern.

250 lumens is perfect and plenty for a rear bike light. Even have noticed people with enduro motorcycles, having the Hypershot 250(not legal on roads!). The Hypershot 350, we prefer for evening commutes(rush hour) through the airport/industrial park. Definitely grabs the attention of occupants in vehicles. Making'em slow down, whether they like-it or not.

I had a niterider 1200 that I completely loved! but it quit taking a charge after only about 2 and1/2 years, I just ordered cygolite Ranger 1400 from my bike shop that I'll pick up in a couple days.. because it's so new there aren't a lot of reviews out there and the only ones I've read weren't good😳, I hope that I'm pleased.. fingers crossed🤞

USB rechargeable with inbuilt rechargeable means it becomes a disposable light after a few years. Too bad it doesn't come with an external power pack. Also, the beam should have a horizontal cutoff to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. Maybe include a lens attachment that creates a cutoff for riding on the road.

Well. Cygolite, could design better brackets. Climates of heat & cold, weaken the plastic crap, severely. I've gone through three freak'n brackets so far in the last sixty days. Cygolite, deliberately does so. The bracket mounts cost them a few cents, charging plenty for replacements. I'll stick with cheap bike lights sold on Amazon.

I guess the Tridenx and mitycross lines weren't selling enough, they decided to not make em anymore. Too bad.

Honestly haven't been impressed with either the Cygolite headlights or the HotShots. The headlight we had only lasted about 14 months before the battery went bad and out of 5 HotShot Pro's I've only got 2 still working after a 18 months. 3 of them simply quit working and would not charge at all. Apparently this is a common issue. The other two have been good lights, but I prefer my DesignShine DS-500 over any tail light I've gotten so far. Pity that the guy who made them quit doing it.
