Lockdown Carp Fishing Winter Day Sessions | Carp Fishery Review

For this month's carp fishery review, Stu Lennox heads to Pondwood Fisheries in White Waltham, Berkshire. Seeing as we're limited to 'day only' sessions at the moment, Stu focuses on the importance of casting to showing carp during the winter months — 6 shows, 6 bites and 5 carp landed later, we think he's proven his point! Stu also takes a closer look at his Ronnie Rig and what liquids and carp baits he suggests for a carp fishing winter day session.

Great little video.
Used to love fishing Pondwood. Freelined bread in the summer on the old Snake lake and catching stacks of Carp from lake 1 in the winter on maggots.
Must get round to giving it a go again when it reopens.

I like watching these guys the most because they don’t try and sell you a product or try and push a certain company. They show it like 99% of us out there angling. Whatever brand has something I like I use instead of saying yeah all my gears Korda and all my baits are Mainline with Goo 😑. Good stuff

Nice review of a fishery I know very well. I really do think though that when you do these that you should actually keep to the rules like everyone has to. You had a massive advantage of being able to fish the whole lake whereas usually you would find you are a lot more restricted where you cast as it is a very popular venue. To be fair you made it very obvious that the fishery was shut hence being able to do that but my comment is relevant to anyone who watches this and thinks they can do the same. The rules you broke were:
Rule 3 = No ground bait, loose feed, P.V.A bags etc… hook baits only.
Rule 35 = Ground baits, Luncheon meat and other tinned meats, High oil pellets, glugs and other dips, Nuts etc are not allowed at Pondwood. Leave them in your car or better still at home.
This is not a dig but reviews should be reflective of what is what so that anyone following the review does not fall foul of the rules afterwards.
I did enjoy the video, the tips and seeing someone catch something at the moment regardless of my comments.

Hi Mr Lennox,
Im a big fan of yours.
As i was watching the video, you were using PVA mesh i believe. at Pondwood, the rules say your not allowed to use PVA bags or mesh.
Im not trying to frame you or report you, my main question is if i should use PVA bags or just a pop up.
Thank you in advance.

Can you use fluorocarbon as a hook link also using leadcore leader set up instead of using the inline lead set up?

What’s with this new trend of playing fish side ways?

Suppose it's nice to have the privilege to fish a lake no one else is allowed to at the moment and use boilies when no one else is too
