The blocks on these engines are very strong, I believe they were originally built to be diesels. So they can take a lot of boost.

Actually for ur guys info, the VR6 block insanely strong and can handle 700hp on stock components as it was originally built to be a diesel but the tdi VR6 was never made

I have the same car and engine they sound nice and have a nice tone knowing what your doing with the engine and exhaust I have a borla single exit

Stock with a head spacer, I believe it! Only thing that kills these engines is bore wear, stock pistons are forged too I believe.

the biggest thing with stock motors blowing up is boost to soon or to low in the rpms. with correct tuning and boost late in the rpm range this is easily possible on a VR and many other motors as well.

What car did the VR6 come that was turbo'd? This must be outside the US cause I cannot think of one car that the VR6 came in 12v form that was stock turbo'd.
