I find it funny how I've been unintentionally seeking this way of life without knowing of its existence. Not to mention that I'm left handed, so the fact that it's called the "left handed path" speaks to new even more

The Left Handed Path sounds very similar to the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. Nietzsche emphasized the individual over the social, he promoted self-deification of the superior person, who he called "Superman" or "Overman". He emphasized the here and now, and came up with a belief in "eternal regress" in which you repeat the here and now for eternity.

It also makes occult and left hand path topics less spooky and more like a flavor of archetypes that can enhance someone’s self-exploration. I have a deep appreciation for the Left Hand Path. I was raised in a fundamentalist christian family with conservative values and the antithesis to that was freeing. Even though I quit the practice, I still make nods to it. My sub wanted me to collar them but can't wear said collar to work. I told them to wear it on the left leg under their jeans, but never the right. I then explained to my sub the significance of the Left Hand Path to me and it added that much more meaning behind the collar and its placement.

I was taught that following the left hand path was a combination of self realization and conscious creation in this (or each) life/incarnation. Deification therefore isn't only a matter of ascension after this life (or thousands of incarnations) but in accepting personal responsibility for the creative and destructive power one holds in each individuation.

The Left hand path is primarily a path of Self empowerment and Self realization, whereas the Right hand path is primarily a path of transcendendance of the material and illimination of the ego.

Very well-explained, Angela. I have been on the Left-Hand Path for about six years. While I may have only realized what I am within that time frame, I have always been of the temperament of safeguarding my autonomy against the conventions and norms of the outside world. All I needed to do to cement that self-realization was to overcome the fear that had held me back before. Of course, this path is not meant for everyone, and can be quite dangerous, as it involves the confronting of one's inner "demons", as it were. Yet, in doing so, one can arrive at a state of greater wholeness and fulfillment. In any case, it's great to have come across your channel. It seems like a valuable repository for all things concerning this path and the occult in general. Keep up the great content!

Dr. Angela: This is a rather insignificant point, but as a (retired) Sanskritist, I noticed what I believe to be an error in the Sanskrit labeling of the left- and right-hand paths. For the left: vāmācāra is fine, but combining vāma and mārga just yields vāmamārga. Similarly, right-hand path or practice yields dakșiňācāra (please excuse the incorrect diacritic on the 'n', but my phone has limited capabilities), or simply dakșiňamārga. I wouldn't ordinarily comment on a minor matter such as this, but as you are an accomplished academic, I thought to note the correct spelling. Thank you for these engaging videos!

I have been on the left hand path all my life...even before I knew what it meant. Even as a child all the things of the left hand path I naturally operated in, my family always calls me the black sheep and tells me I'm different.
