How To Remove A Traction Pad From Surfboard | Surf Training Factory
To Remove A Traction Pad From Surfboard.You will need hot water and acetone for the glue, and if you don't have strong hands like me a wax comb comes in handy as well.
Now pour some hot water on the traction pad and that will make the material softer so that it can make it easier for you to peel.
Peel the traction pad off as much as possible. You can use a wax comb to get the corners up so you can grab them easily.
Once you have the whole traction pad off, you will notice that there is still glue on the surfboard.
That glue needs to be removed so that you can stick the new traction pad on it with new glue.
To remove the glue off the surfboard, grab some acetone and use a cloth to scrub the glue off. There is no easy way to do this, you just need to scrub hard and the glue will come off.
