This series is called "Where's The Deals" a series where i go online across facebook marketplace, letgo, offer up, and various other random marketplace type sites in search for video game deals. I do not buy anything i see on these sites, the purpose of these videos is to show and discus good as well as bad deals. I'll also throw in some advice as well for those of us who are looking to buy games through places like these.

My local meijer used the clamshell for the cheap/shovelware stuff in the mid to late 90s. It was always beside the glass cases with the knockoff addons.

This is how I mostly shop for games, my local area is pretty much dead and has to much competition, so online makes it easier for me to find games. I do pick up stuff locally from time to time but it rarely happens unless I go to a mom and pop shop

Good video, my local trading post groups and marketplace in general have become very lacking for games. Because of this I've been forced to primarily use eBay and Shopgoodwill.com. One issue I consistently see with people selling stuff is that they price from eBay. This isn't an issue just do to the value alone per se. The issue comes down to the market place itself. On eBay the globe is your market, on Facebook it's the people in about a 10 mile radius. You can get away with selling stuff that's popular like a Contra but not the more obscure stuff. For instance that Pong game on the PS1 (the packaging was very interesting, never seen it like that before) might be valuable but nobody in that guys 10 mile radius is going to want it. Why? because it's Pong. The small amount of people who still care about Pong to any level (including me) are going to get the actual pong systems from the 1st generation of gaming. The Pong game for the PS1 has a very niche buyer base of people who 1: are going for a complete PS1 set, 2: are Pong enthusiasts to a incredible level, 3: are willing to drop 35$ out of curiosity. Also to add on the PS1 pong game is going for less than 10$ on eBay so 4: the person needs the game CIB. I know this has been said before but I felt like ranting lol. I do sympathize with them a bit though, a good amount of people are having money problems. I understand them wanting as much as possible.

Obo is the worst thing to put in a ad in my area of Canada, everyone will lowball if priced at 100 they'll offer 35. The worst is 80 percent of people want you to deliver by asking if you're ever in their town, get off your ass and pick up or dont message me I'm not driving 50 minutes both ways to make 30 bucks.
