Homeschool Kids Peers

This one bothers me. There are a LOT of homeschool families out there, so naturally our kids get together with other homeschooled kids. There are all sorts of classes and get togethers during the week while other kids are at school.

Homeschool kids also spend time with kids who go to traditional school. They meet them at places like dance classes, sports, the playground, martial arts classes, gymnastics, and so much more. Homeschoolers aren't just sitting at home all day!

I'm homeschooled and I go to a co-op once every other week, a drama troupe once every week (except for the week before the performances, then it's a week straight), and I play for a homeschool volleyball team. I've got toonnnns of friends, homeschool doesn't prevent me from being around peers lol

I love seeing so many weird, undereducated, and neglected kids together being friends. Warms my heart ❤

I grew up homeschooled, and we had the unique advantage over public school kids in that we interacted with all age groups, not just our own. We socialized with younger kids and older kids, and adults of all ages. Much less isolating than a 'traditional' classroom. I had no problem interacting with people of any age group, while others my age only felt comfortable around people their same age.

Unfortunately it's not a requirement that a parent have any education certification to be a homeschool teacher, and while the homeschoolers I've met are also fully licensed teachers, most aren't, so the quality of education becomes limited to what the parent believes is factual and relevant which means there's no guarantee the kid is actually being prepared for the real world

Home school kids pretty much always end up being kinda weird.

Their are homeschool groups that everyone teaches the kids. Like one parent does sports, another cooking they are in constant different locations. Just cause this isnt what your family looks like doesnt means it wrong. Some could say that you live above your means that why both parents have to work? Anyone can attack how anyone wants to raise their kids or live but it doesnt make one the right way or the wrong way. Its what works for your family. ❤ ❤ ❤

😅 I finished Middleschool in K-12 and tried public high school... why tf did they all still act 12 through Senior year? All my homeschool peers were like 200 IQ savants with self-owned businesses at like 16

I truly believe ppl against homeschooling are just jealous their parents wouldn’t do it for them. Like if they couldn’t do it no one can LMAOO. I WISHED I was homeschooled the opportunity of a better education is 100% there when done right. Like have you guys not been to a public school in the last 5 years?!? The middle school in my area is having a student-overdosing problem as well as assault cases… yeah I’d rather keep my kids home

Yeah but are they with their homeschooled peers every day for 8 hours a day? It’s a very different dynamic.

You know homeschooling is one of the most effective ways to cover up parental child abuse. Are there wire hangers in your closet, Joan? Is that why you homeschool?

We home schooled our kids back when home schooling was like Fight Club. . . you didn't talk about it. My kids are all grown, in their 30s, well adjusted, employed, smart, funny and to this day they remain indoctrinated.
