Would have liked to see Wolfgang fill in for his father. He plays just like him.

Wolf all but said many times its Alex halting it not Roth. Wolf said the dysfunction of the band members is a constant problem for him. Thats All of them including Sam. I know many snowflakes love piling on Roth thanks to Sammy always crying about Dave but in reality AVH has all and final say on Anything VH and Alex says No. Just let it go guys. Without Ed its all just BS anyways. The fans dont need a BS tribute charade show. No EVH No VH Period. End of Story.

Dave's ego and worsening lack of talent shouldve precluded him from this in the first place

I love satch, but nuno would be much better suited for the job

If I was Michael Anthony I wouldn’t piss on Van Halen if it was on fire

Just get Michael Starr to take DLR's place. David Lee Roth can't sing anymore anyway. All he'll do is tarnish Van Halen's legacy with his embarrassing antics. It'll be a much better concert with Michael Starr. Michael sounds more like Roth than Roth does. But, I wouldn't have Satriani step in for Eddie. I think there's only one acceptable substitute. And that's Wolfgang. Full Stop!

Face it, it's never going to happen and we don't need it anyway. We have the music, and that's good enough for me.

From what I read, Dave and Al were going to do a personal tribute and were picking who were going to play guitar and bass . Then word leaked and Sam publicly wanted in and both Al and Dave dropped the idea, NOT JUST Dave .

DLR is an absolute prick, but I heard Sammy is doing a tour

I believe that there will never be a proper EVH tribute, and that the blame doesn't rest on the shoulders of any one person. There was one EVH, one AVH, two bassists, two singers (three if you count Gary Cherone) and a whole lot of egos. It's a shame that the egos couldn't be put aside for at least one evening for give proper respect to the guitarist who single-handedly changed the face of rock guitar.

Just let it go. Ride into the Western sky and enjoy the small amount of time you have left. And tell Wolfie about Monjouro before he suffers a heart attack.

Sammy was in Van Halen, 11 years. David LeeRoth 8 years, as Eddie himself once said, no, Dave didn’t have a ego! First, it was Dave Roth. Then, David Lee Roth, then, Diamond Dave!

Sammy is the problem, Alex will not even talk to him

I’m all for a one big tribute show for Eddie, but a tour that’s a clear cut money grab, that’s all there is to it, and if Alex isn’t involved it shouldn’t happen, only true diehard vh fans that have been there since the beginning understand what I’m

It's time to put this whole tribute thing to rest. It's 4 years on since Ed died and these knuckleheads can't organize a one man parade. Sick of hearing about it. DLR can't get along with anyone and he wouldn't do it unless he could be the star of the show. Dave can't sing, Alex doesn't want MA there, Sammy & Dave will argue about everything - what's the use...

Always making DLR the bad guy. Alex doesn’t want to do it either and there is nothing stopping them from doing it without DLR. Dave is probably right a tour would come off as a cash grab. Dave always did what was best for VH and took the heat that came with it. Still does as this proves.

EVH was an iconic, trailblazing one of a kind musician, rock star guitarist. No singular guitarist can fill his shoes. The ppl/organisers looking to do a tribute, are probably the people who care the least. Maybe Dave & Alex realise that a meaningful tribute would be outside the scope of these facile parasites.

Unbelievable as a Guitar player Eddie's passing hit very hard as did Jeff Beck and others .Can't believe there has been no tribute given to a man that changed guitar playing . That's sad Ego's can't be set aside for a tribute I was surprised at how soon Jeff's took place .Eddie deserves better it sickens me .

They need to just let Van Halen rest. There’s no VH without Eddie, just like there’s no Pantera without Dime. This is all just one big money grab doing these “tribute” bands. Those bands are gone. It’s kind of an insult to them and the music they made.
