Listen to it many times by far the most beautiful version of ever heard in my life page number 57 in the church hymn book I grew up singing out of it was requested every Sunday. And I was usually the one... And still do thank you for sharing first time I've ever commented on this song with anybody shared it to many people but for some reason I felt like I needed to make a comment on this one and that people know if they would only take you into situational awareness for the eternal life and prepare for it the way that people prepare a Beach vacation rental or a beach house boarding it up getting it ready for that natural disaster.... that's a material thing that will never leave this old world it we'll stay behind and either, it will rot down, or the fire and brimstone will get it when it rings from the heaven above, and spew from the bowels of the Earth, and it will burn.

This is a beautiful, but very sad song when you know its history. It was written as the Cherokee were forced to march the Trail of Tears to the reservations. They were not allowed to bury their dead except at certain places, so they wrote this song using the melody of Amazing Grace in order to mourn their dead as it was the only thing they could do during the times they were not allowed to bury their dead.

It makes me cry every time as those were my ancestors.
