Making Butterfingers At Home | But Better

Butterfinger candy bars seem like an impossible job to make at home. Right? Well.. turns out they’re actually kind of easy. Might go as far to say that they may even be… better.

My Grandma raised me and my siblings. She passed away 4 years ago, and we've all been on our own since then. Today (November 29th) would have been her 85th birthday, and her favorite candy bars were Butterfingers. This video was such a treat as I remembered her today!

I work for the chocolate company ferrero. My plant actually makes butterfinger, and I am in charge of that process so it’s fair to say I know a thing or two about this candy bar. Josh did an excellent job recreating it and I’d love to try out his recipe. Also they are orange because they add food coloring to the mass mixture called taffy.

Since the chocolate cools off in the bowl as you're dipping them, it helps to use a heating pad on high underneath the bowl as you work.

In the first semester of culinary school, I took a confectionary class. We made butterfinger candy using a similar recipe and until now, I haven’t seen anyone make butterfingers without candy corn. I loved this video!
