""The very best and noblest attainment in this life is to be silent and let God work and speak within."

Yeshua, the ultimate Mystic 💛🙏 like he said, we cannot be without God, for God is all there Is “I and the Father are One “ was not a statement of specialness, but a recognition of the only thing there is, God, and we are It, a spark in the imagination of the One infinite Source 💞

In this talk Rupert is reading first from the book: Meister Eckhart, Selected Writings, translated by Oliver Davies. After that, from 17:28, he reads from Brother Lawrence, The Practice of the presence of God In Modern English, translated by Marshall Davis. I mention these sources for the convenience of the listeners, and also to pay due respect to the translators. A translation can make or break a text, and both these translations are very sincere.

Thank you Rupert. Such a beautiful teaching from the heart. Having gone to a Catholic boarding school in Ireland in the early 60s early 70s a time when the church in Ireland operated as a cult with complete power over the people and no accountability. I of course rejected the church as there was very little taught about the real Jesus and Christianity but managed to maintain great respect and reverence for some of the early Christian Mystics and thanks to you my knowledge and faith in them has greatly increased. Thank you for giving me the window to revisit not only these teachings but also those of the Sufi and Buddhist schools. Your teachings are profound and touch me deeply as I experience they coming directly from your heart and soul. Thank you and may God/ consciousness keep you safe calm and happy.

The 'smart' discourses of philosophers or spiritual teachers are very attractive and satisfy our intellect, but as bright as they can be, they never replace a direct experience of our true self. Call it god or else does not impact on the true unmistakable feeling of being face to face with oneself. Christian mystics are great in this direct path and most often overlooked with Eastern traditions without diminishing their greatness and unique analysis. Mystics of East and West unites in the fruit of the spiritual journey: love, peace and wisdom. Thank you Rupert for this breeze of freshness and pure joy.

You don't need an excuse for going into early Christian mysticism Rupert, it is one of the great sources of the teaching of Oneness. You are looking particularly happy in this video. Coming home? We have found the exact same book you are quoting from today, it is a great source on nonduality, not less than any of the Eastern teachings.

From Catholic roots to Buddhism, Hinduism, Ramana Masharshi to Mooji and you now back to Christianity. What a journey these 40 years have been for me. To find this message this day is directly from God. Thank you for sharing Rupert.

Thomas Merton, as a young man, became acquainted with the Hindu monk Brahmachari. Merton showed interest, and he was surprised when the monk encouraged him to connect, not with Hinduism, but with his own Christian tradition. Personally, I investigated various paths, although never the Eastern religions, until I embraced my Catholic roots. Looking back, I believe reading Merton's "7 Story Mountain" and C.S. Lewis' "Surprised by Joy" provided the spark. It still took years to get back after reading those books.

So wonderful! After a lifetime of Christianity then exploring nondual spirituality, it felt lacking. I missed the relational warmth of my catholic/evangelical roots. Incarnational spirituality feels to resonate, of course Meister Eckhart is the shining example, but contemporary teachers such as Richard Rohr, Cynthia Bourgeault, James Finely and also the late Fr. Thomas Keating have been beautiful teachers.

Thank you for sharing this. I have noticed in the last few years a shift from personal love and interests to the impersonal. The love for all is so much more intense. I'm so much better at seeing God through each face as I don't see many people. I cant always let go enough but more often. It was after a major surgery that has left me mostly in bed and alone but with great gifts. Instead of years of mantras, which were so helpful, now I feel an expanded falling in. I don't have a desire to be with God but fall into him. This way of living is a gift as I can be quiet and god can be alone with me. Rumi. Love Christ and so many. Its all just blending into just love.
Thank you Rupert, you're a constant inspiration.

Of the Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis and Dark Night of the Soul by St John of the Cross are two of my favorites. The writings of Teresa of Avila are also very powerful.
