Really good video! I'm so happy I completed my North American (non variant) WII U collection before the pandemic price surge. I absolutely love my WII-U!! Not only is it still my favorite console, primarily because of the virtual console, but it's the console that hooked my then 6 year old nephew on video games. I'll always have a special place for the WII-U. Great work!

I wrapped up the WiiU set earlier this year and this video is spot on.

Other honorable mentions that will be hard to find :
Wonderful 101, Book of Unwritten Tales 2, Tumblestone, Barbie Dreamhouse

Wonder why axiom verge isn't more popular.

Devil's Third is quite a rare one as well, at least the North American version as it was limited and only available at Gamestop. I think it had less copies than Axiom Verge available.

It's really a shame that you need a different Wii U console to play all exclusive games out there that came on CD
I purchased myself a couple of Titles from North America and some PAL Games that wheren't released in my country so I'm happy with them though
It was very hard to find a copy of Ducktales Remastered in the more rare version with the pin badge inside
Also it's sad that the only Wii U fishing game came out in america
You probably could play Rapala's Pro Bass on Wii since it's nearly the same game but screw it there's a release for Wii U so that's cool
It's also hard to find a copy of Phineas & Ferb on Wii U for PAL console
I really like the Trine 1 + 2 Games (download only) their style lets me missing Ori Games or such like Song of the Deep on the Wii U
The most uncommon games I own are those Korg Synthesizer Games on Switch and Nintendo DS so I wonder there wasn't any on the Wii U since they are really comfortable to control with a touch screen device
Aa a fan of those old Square / Enix RPGsand Harvest Moon games I would have liked a release of any title from their franchise for Wii U
I like Funky Barn but it wasn't hard to find here or expensive at all
But it's interesting though how different the markets are for Wii U worldwide
More of an issue might be Games that are rarely offered than actually their prices
So be happy if you are lucky enough to find what you are longing for ;-)

Greetings from Germany

I really don't care if game are rare or not if I find a Wi U game for a good price and enjoy it that's enough for me.

In my experience, Turbo Super Stunt Squad is the rarest North American Wii U standard release.

Why do PAL wii u games from Europe have a Nintendo tear stripe in the sealed games an North America doesn’t have an official Nintendo tear strip just out of curiosity? Cause surely without the Nintendo tearstrip resealing old games to make them new would be way easier?

How rare are the factory refurbished Wii U games? They were only sold on Nintendo.com they have a printed red label on the cover?

This is a long one, but I like talking about this system. So bear with me.
No one talks about these, but Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper is generally a very scarce find even online despite the game's very low value according to Gamestop... SteamWorld Collection is a bit scarce but has never been pricey at all and its available digitally as well. All I tend to see now for these two are some sealed copies that have a logo from Maxsoft, a company that distributed North American Wii U games to other countries, mainly Singapore. Devil's Third and Walking Dead Survival Instinct are straight up unavailable on a large scale. Walking Dead is *really* really not a common one...for good reason as the game is horrible.

When it comes to this system, I don't like to consider most of this stuff rare since for one, a lot of these are still available as new online and many through amazon. Some are rather costly, but still, they are readily available (except the Amazing Spiderman Ultimate Edition...that's a whole other set of nonsense). But a select few like Walking Dead and maybe Rio 2016 are legitimately able to be considered rare. Maybe Turbo Super Stunt Squad too, but I don't know why the hell you would even bother buying that. Same for Hello Kitty. They may be very expensive, but nobody cared enough to buy them initially in the first place. The only game on the system we have concrete numbers for are Axiom Verge and Devil's Third...since you can count the number of copies that were printed on your hand for Devil's Third...

Jokes aside, I tend to consider "Rare" games as things I can't find easily rather than what everyone says costs a lot of money. Rio 2016 is higher than a normal Wii U game, but in the past month *DOZENS* of copies, sealed or otherwise, have flooded ebay. Is a game really rare when I can buy it at any time I want? You can't get games like Deus Ex, Cabela Pro Hunts or Tank Tank Tank whenever you want because hardly anyone purchased these when they launched and even now, you won't find a copy at a Gamestop and they exist in the single digits on ebay... Cabela is a bit of a dumpster fire so that one shouldn't be a priority to obtain anyways. As a whole, I think anyone looking at these should definitely buy whatever they desire unless it's outrageously overpriced--nobody should even bother paying money for Sniper Elite V2 and Twilight Princess HD isn't worth is price tag as it is the third time we've seen this game. That's just my opinion. What's fact is that right now is the best time to buy Wii U stuff, whether common as ZombiU or as unorthodox as a particular game published by Nordic....
