Bard Images in Search vs Bing Chat

Bard will show images in searches soon.
Let’s compare it to Bing Chat and see where this is going.
Bing Chat Response
In Bing Chat, when you input a query like “What are some must-see sights in New Orleans?” it spits out a bunch of text replies.
Then a map.
And then links with images.
Google Bard Response
When you input that same query into Bard, it shows text and images.
Where This is Going
Here’s where I think Google could easily take this.
Maybe you could check a box on each one of the places Bard highlighted here.
Now Google has already integrated Bard with other vendors, such as Adobe for AI generated images.
What if they integrated with travel booking vendors, and hotels and restaurants?
Google could then book your flight, hotel, and rental car.
Then it could make an itinerary for you to see all those places and load them up in your Google Maps.
Then it could give you recommendations for places to eat and shop that are near those places.
Plus, it could even make you a dinner reservation.
No Plugins Needed
OpenAI is trying to do the very same thing, but with a bunch of kluged together plugins for ChatGPT.
And that will spawn new online AI businesses to build interfaces that make this a seamless process.
But I see Google offering that kind of interface right in Bard.
And all you need is your Google login.
