one of the coolest things about this for me is Roxon's willingness to double down on making niche implements for their systems. I may have to pick one of these up just for that fold out ruler and make a bladeless setup

Package hook is wonderful for camping like for untying knots, grabbing hot lids, pots cups. To quick hang the knife. Im glad they sharpend the end, it makes marking round sticks easier. Carrying fire wood. Pulling on knots to make them tighter. And my fav pulling out tent stakes with out pain. When you start using the package hook and then you don't have it you really start to miss it badly. And carring 2 knifes don't always work out. Don't think of it as just a package hook but a very useful tiny hand. Ps. I do like that ice pick looking tool.

Regarding the hook, my first thought was “spring puller”. Folks who ride motorcycles probably know that the side stand has a spring (many times two nested springs) which hold the stand up, and a tool like that could be helpful in removing/installing them. I’ve generally done it with something more t-handled so I’d need to try it to be sure.

Ha, the line at the end about comparison. Yep, that was my question. I'd love to see it in a lineup with a few of the Victorinox knives, maybe the Tinker, Super Tinker and one of the small ones like a Rambler. What does it weigh with long tools? Man, I'm excited! Love that Roxon is listening and innovating. That long ruler with a magnet? Fabulous.

Tell them to combine the bottle opener and can opener. Most people probably can't justify an entire slot to just one, but lots of people would probably use it if you could get both on a single slot

Finally, something without a bottle opener. Because every multitool *has* to have bottle opener, I have with me at least 3 of them at any given time. In current landscape of multitools, this is the tool I really don't need to see everywhere!

🙋🏻‍♂I'm the someone who uses a marlinspike like 3-4 times a week! We have rabbits, and the bougie bunny hay they need comes in plastic bags with the tightest knots you've ever seen. I've started carrying a sailor's knife that I don't love because I need it so often. I've thought about buying a Victorinox First Mate, but those are hard to find and go for like $600 nowadays. This is going to be a game-changer for me. Can't wait to be able to carry my Spyderco Delica again! Please thank Roxon for making that an option!

Questions:
1. When will the Flex Companion ship to the UK? (Feeling left out, over here.)
2. Will there be an introductory discount for UK/EU buyers when they do, to match the one currently available for US buyers?
3. Will it come in any other colours? Black is the best colour if you enjoy losing your tool, or not being able to find it on a dark morning with the lights low so as not to wake anyone else. Also, some of us like a bit of colour (color😉👍).

I rather would have seen a double sided file, but as a base toolset everyone should find something useful in there.
My inner voice already cries for a utility knife and a t-shank holder. ^^
As i understand international shipping is done by their distributors Amazon and Aliexpress, so we plebs from outside the US have to wait a while for the goodies to come to us.

I used to think the same about bottle openers, but having one is good for when youre at a get together. Easy to pass around and people dont have to wonder how to use it.

Parcel hook is more useful outdoors than otherwise. It lets you grab wire handles of pots without the need to carry a dedicated tool, and it will hold the loop of a wire while making snares. In more common everyday settings it's mostly useful on a farm than on a lightrail. It does things like picture hanging, handling screw eyes, and for grabbing anything that'll tend to dig into your fingers.

Well done Roxon! I have been using their knife/spoon/fork set for months while camping. I didn't even know there was a modular multi-tool. I LOVE modular items!! This is definitely a must have for me. Modularity=less waste, better versatility and more customization. Which is exactly what I need.

Roxon's modular multitools are a game changer. I like the sewing kit, comb, and folding ruler. Leatherman should have thought of that ruler and t-shank in the Arc.

There is so much to like about this, well done. I especially like the fid, T-Shank, and scapel blade holders. The TSA Safe tools could use some color Identifier (maybe green along the spine) so that its easier for them to identify which tools are in the handle. Would have liked to see rulers integrated on the scales of the tool along with Hi Vis Orange and FDE colorations.

After the success of this model please collaborate to make a XL version with a reciprocating saw blade holder instead of the T shank, longer tools, more robust locks, and a 14c28n Blade. Once again, Job Well done!

Ah it finally arrived. I still would like they do more tools but the companion is great if you want a multitool with only the long implements.
I'm just glad they listened to the comments, improved their stuff before official release.
I would like to see an hammer/nail puller/carabiner/opener version of it.

The biggest things im waiting for before hopping on the flex system are more scissor variations, big ones like on other roxon and nextool tools. Taking up multiple slots, and some very very fine cuticle scissors.
