Показать описание
The varus stress test is used to evaluate the integrity of the LCL. The patient is supine, passively flex the knee to about 30 degrees and apply a varus force to the knee. Bring the knee back into full extension and apply the varus force again. Laxity at 30 degrees suggests an isolated LCL tear, laxity at 0 degrees suggests a multiligament knee injury. A positive test is pain or laxity.
