Amstrad NC100 with 1M memory card unbox and repair

I got this Amstrad NC100 from an inexperienced seller who did not understand the term "proper packaging" ... fast forward to Mike gluing together his new computer :-(

However, i primarily ordered this one for the memory-card, which i did not have and it turned out to be working :-)

Hi Mike. Nice video. In case you wanted any more PCMCIA cards for the Amstrad NCs (or Atari Portfolio), you could try contacting 'Best Electronics' in the US. I bought two 1Mb cards from them a couple of years ago, and had them shipped to the UK. They were very helpful.

Regarding the music, I like it for the beginning and end but agree with shevron that it's a bit busy for the main background music - maybe something a bit calmer / slower would be better for the main part of the show.

BTW, the stupid sponge bits on the inside of battery compartment covers - someone told me once (no idea if this is true) that in the 60s - 80s sizes of batteries were not always completely consistent, so the sponge was used on devices that were deigned to be moved a lot to stop the batteries slipping.
