I still see people complaining about the markup in the comments.. here’s simple math for ya.. say a part cost 150$ online and you order it and pay the mechanic 150 to install it.. now your in 300$ on a part and the labor.. now if that part fails you have to go spend another 150$ on that part and another 150$ on labor again so your in 600$.. but if you just goto the dealership and pay 250 for that part and 150 for labor your only in 400$ and if that part breaks you don’t have to buy another part or pay labor again so at that point you’ll have saved yourself 150$.. to some people paying the markup on a part is worth the COVERAGE/INSURANCE of the part by the dealership.. to some people that markup is bogus because 9 times out of 10 nothing actually goes wrong but let it be that 10th time you replace a part with your own part and it does happen to break your going to feel the pain of getting another part and paying for labor again.. I used a 150$ part as an example but think about a 2, 999$ rear differential.. you could pay 3, 500 for parts and labor.. or pay 2, 000 for the part online and 500 for labor and save 1000$ but if that rear diff fucks up again your spending an extra 2500 AGAIN so instead of paying 3, 500 for parts and labor insured by the dealer now your in 5, 000 and your STILL not covered..
