Me personally, I laughed at this video as a HUGE monk fan. No, I'm not mad or anything, but the honest reason I like monk is because it feels so relaxing to play sometimes. You can just explore and have some fun. (usually if you have max lizard rep) their story is also something that I enjoy, it isn't much and is a bit basic, but I love how they went after their sibling without much of a second thought. They probably didn't know what could be out there, they just wanted their sibling back. But playing rivulet with Hunter spawns is better.

monk was the first slugcat i ever beat the campaign of, and even now having 1.5k+ hours on rainworld, monk still holds a special place in my heart. so

reasons to like monk:


1 - fun-ness and cool-character-ness components
good starting reputation, making friends is much easier
lowest food requirement
look at the little eepy one look at them they are holding ear the snuggle look at them they are cuddle have hug with!!
unexplained enlightenment that ive never seen anyone question, karma gates save and karma flowers spawn upon every death
monk, the character themselves, went into the trouble of bringing moon 2 neurons AND her cloak
can go to OE

do you see banana man

2 - flexing stuff + reasons monk isn't just baby mode
unfortunate development has progressed further
weak - try killing stuff as monk vs any other slugcat (excluding pre-enlightened saint) and you'll see how much of a disadvantage you have
to be honest i find rivulet and artificer easier than monk
