Joyo MW-1 Wireless Microphone System | Review & Demo

The Joyo MW-1 is a great solution to converting XLR gear into wireless. For example in this video I show how I took the standard Shure SM58 and converted it into a wireless microphone. It is super easy to use. Also, it uses the superior 5.8GHz band to transmit the signal. I recommend this for anyone that likes their wired microphone, but would like to convert it into a wireless mic. It can also be used to wirelessly transmit an XLR signal to a speaker or other XLR device.

i have used it 4 times on different gigs and different room sizes, quite frankly its brilliant, and no mic cable swinging around your feet, it goes through a dynacord cm 600, its just so clear and absolutley no latency, i am a vocalist its quite brilliant

I just got this today and used it live this evening. I plugged into my Bose S1 and had to max the volume to get a satisfactory mix with my Strat and backing tracks. I’ll try it at a few more gigs this week, a bit dubious of it’s suitability

This product in my opinion is an eye opener. Especially if don't plan on buying the full set of the Shure sm58. I yet to test it out for myself and will be getting some feedback in the near

Cool product. Pretty sure it’s Joy-O, not Joe-Yo. Let us know what battery life is like when you find out. They are pretty small units so that may be where they compromised. Oh, on the receivers for these things, I just leave them constantly plugged in. To preserve the plug life on the transmitters, I use magnetic charging cables where the little adapter stays plugged in.

I noticed a hissing sound the very moment it was plugged in

The FIDELITY is excellent with the Joyo. A word of caution though, TURN OFF THE MIXER before you turn on or off the Joyo otherwise you'll hear a loud jarring noise!

Hello Kennis, thanks for this great video. Do you think if I can use the JOYO with my camera to record interviews? If so, what cables do you recommend? Enjoy the holidays! Best.

Sounds very good but I could hear the hissing background noise.

Hi! Is your Joyo still working after all that time? Heard reports of battery dying

You had trouble getting the transmitter out because you switched spots. The transmitter has an angled end.
Several people noticed the hiss. I’m getting old, so I always hear hiss. 🥴
It’s not as noticeable for live use in a noisy environment, but if that doesn’t work for you, spend 3-4 times as much for other brands.
This is not the cheapest or best, but is a good value.

Hey Kennis! Sounds great, but I got to say for my application it's hissing a lot. I'm using a ZOOM H6 and a Rode NTG-2. Any thoughts? Goes without saying, wired the set-up works well. Any thoughts? Thank you!

The latency looks nice from your lip sync. How would you rate it?

Just got mine today. Convenient, but just doesn't sound anywhere near as good as XLR.

The product would work for me, but I have a question, what happens when the battery stops working or runs out over time. I don't want to spend on a product that I have to throw away at some point. Could you tell me about it? Thank you so much.
