Hi! I'm Carly! I'm so thankful you are here! I'm a Licensed & Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) that is passionate about OT and advocating for the profession. I want to provide easy-to-understand, accurate, and informational content about OT to help people discover how amazing and crucial OT really be is. I currently work in a pediatric outpatient clinic.

As someone who is currently switching their major from nursing to OTA, this video was literally so amazing to find! I had no idea OT/OTA were even a thing because nobody talks about them! I feel so lucky to have found you and this valuable information, thank you so much for sharing.

Occupational therapy is an awesome career. I’m always asking the therapists if they like their job and no one has ever told me they didn’t like it. Very rewarding.

It’s so hard to find enough of these type of contents. I find it so interesting how in the US They separate OTA and PTA program. I live in Canada so the program is actually OTA/PTA = rehabilitation therapy. Which I find it’s so much of a branch out. But what took me by surprises is the final text you have to take to be licence in the career. Wow honestly thanks for the content that’s really nice and seeing the different in US and CAN.

I am truly interested in seeking OTA; however, I would be going back as an older adult (40’s) and am wondering if it’s possible going at a later age. I do believe I can do it but it is a little nerve wracking - this was an amazing video ! Thank you !

Hello! I've been watching your videos for a while now before I had started my OTA program. Now I'm about to start my third semester of the program in a couple weeks! Applying to OTA school was the best decision I've made for myself. I love your content and I'm always excited when you upload new videos about your career. Would love to receive some support from your channel as well <3 Thank you !

I’m very much interested OTA. I talked to the department head of the program at my school and went over some things. One of my questions was how much HW/Study time do I need to set a side while working part time and she told me 12. Is this true? And if I can carve out a little more like 15-17 hours a week for school work is that enough?

I’m scared about getting admitted into the program. Is it really hard? The school here only takes 18 students and I’m worried I’m just wasting my time

Hi! Im a recent high school grad considering OTA or PTA as a career path. I'm someone who likes jobs where I can be trusted to do my job without constant supervision. Would you say that you are "micromanaged" in your field of work? I dont mind being supervised, Ive just read that PTAs are micromanaged and I wondered if thats at all true for OTAs.
Thanks!
