I got the same bike, as my first bike and I love it too. But I wonder how can you rise it up when you drop it, for me is a great effort. I love your enthusiasm. Ciao from Italy

Hi Eva, I have the exact same bike and colour. BMW took it out of the collection: crazy, because the cool, dark green beats the dinky toy colors of the other paint schemes, that frankly look a bit childish. Today I tried the big brother for a whole day, the 1250 GS and this is my conclusion: yes more power, yes a bit sharper in the turns on pavement, but the 1250 foot pegs are further back because of the boxer engine which results in an awkward, uncomfortable riding position for the vertically challenged (I'm a bit above 6'3''). Point of story: the 850 GS is just better in certain respects than the much celebrated and perhaps overrated 1250 GS (also, the SOUND of the 850 beats the 1250 sound).
