I like this. I'm making a floating z axis for my diy table but it is a cantilever design so I can't afford the extra weight of this design.

Hi, this project of yours is interesting, could you help me with a question? Does this switch turn the torch on and off? how is the nozzle height control done, you use the probe principle in eizo Z. Thanks

You will want less spring not more. The less the floating head weighs the better
