On the topic of Witchdoctor, I honestly feel like that class would have fit in much better in D4 with the whole theme of Howezar.

My favorite classes in Diablo are Monk and Paladin.
Spiritborn looks really fun!
I like the animal spirits theme more than I thought I would.

I must say that I'm surprised how much they leaned into the Monk's kit. I expected a bit less "martial arts" and a bit more weapon variety, like twin axes, for example, and I definitely expected that Spiritborn will be able to use a bow, and be more like a DnD Ranger or WoW Hunter.
That being said, I loved the Monk, and hearing that we get now a better Monk is music to my ears. Really awesome stuff!! <3

I am so pumped for this. Monk is my all time fav out of every arpg and this truly is the closest thing. Seems like more than half of the kit is straight up taken from D3 monk but with a whole new flavor and twist. So cool.

I got more Assassian vibes more than anything. I can see why some think monk. But to me it feels more like Assassian with a little DH sprinkled on it with a little Pally/Monk on it also.

Jaguar + centipede seems fun with attack speed, dots, reduced damage from enemies and lifesteal

The dev team introduced 'Unhindered' for a few skills in the S5 PTR. I'm really digging the vibes of this class and the unique quarterstaff they showed in the livestream looks like it'll be right in my lane gameplay wise.

Its Udry from League, imported into D4, Udyr is a 'Spirit Walker' and this is a 'Spirit Born' there is def a precedence already set. This one seems to lack the iconic 4 spirit 'stance dance' or spirit change forms that only presents itself in an ULT, and limiting the player to a primary and 2ndary combination vs the synergy of all 4 based on a given situation. Could be fun in an AARPG but I wouldn't go as far as declaring this is something truly new.

I was really hoping for a paladin type. I was sure this wasn't going to be it after hearing about this new character. But I was the weirdo who loved paladin in D2(smite ftw) and really liked it in D3. Hopefully SB is fun in the meantime and the next one is a shielder.

I feel like "Spirit Invoker" would work pretty good and explain the class in a simple way. A fighter who invokes a Spirit God to help fight and uses that Spirit God's type in their style

what happened to the unformed lands by the Witch Doctors? is it the same as the spirit realms? the unformed lands were basically the "afterlife" for the Umbaru..

Still disappointed that we didn't get a Crusader/Templar but Spiritborn does look fun. I was worried it would be mid but the gameplay for it looks pretty good.
