The exposition, showing the subject of the story.
The anticipation, as the multiple intricacies of the lock are portrayed as something beautiful, fine, delicate.
The betrayal, as the once beautiful key metamorphoses into a pick.
The fall, as the superficial complexity of the lock is brought crashing down with a deft, but cold, heartless movement.
The loop, as we are reminded that as all things in life, nothing is eternal, but everything is destined to repeat itself multiple times over, until the end of time...
