Epic project! I think foams are the only tires that have halve a chance of holding up

I think PCBWay is one of the best sponsors the maker scene has ever seen, because it's actually useful.

This is so SICK! Thanks so much for bringing us this, James 🥳🥳🥳

We don't necessarily like to see the crash --> repair --> crash --> repair cycle. I think many of us appreciate the iterative process, the clever design(s) you come up with, and the reward of seeing the larger goal eventually accomplished. Keep up the good work.

Well done. I was a little nervous that your poly rope would melt on full power test. Looking forward to part 2 and a speed run record.

We come for the crazy builds, and stay because of your top tier storytelling James! Always a pleasure to be featured in these master pieces. One day we’ll have a race with my wheel driven car 🔥

I love how much this demonstrates communities coming together for the sake of creative science. Between the RC company the CNC company the jet engine company putting forward parts to make this happen is cool as hell

Looks very cool. PLEASE make sure you have configured and tested your radio failsafe this time so if you lose radio signal it goes to zero throttle and brakes on!

Great „Bloodhound“ project! You probably can’t imagine how it rejuvenates me! Youngsters like you make me hope that not all is lost and your father can be proud of you! Good luck!!

Hey dude. A lot of great engineering and time going into this. Its really cool.

However …. please don’t use those printed plastic joiners to hold your ribs to the chassis plate.
I would almost guarantee they won’t be strong enough.
The threads are inserted from the same side as the piece they are secured to by the look of it, so they can pull out.
You would be much better off getting some aluminium 90deg angle (it’s a stock extruded material). You could drill and tap the angle to bolt it together or drill right through and bolt through.

Seriously, it would be a much stronger solution.
At 200mph the pressure in the body will be huge. I wouldn’t be surprised if that alone ripped it apart.

Good luck mate 👍 look forward to seeing it run.

Your dad's comment it exactly the reason to keep watching this series! Looks ambitious - so many potential engineering challenges.

4k for a jet engine sounds like a solid price. I’d be shaking to have that thing roaring up while it’s still a loan. Great ongoing project, really looking forward to the next part.

I'm glad to see all these companies working with you to get this project on the road!

I am always so blown away at what we can do at home now. I have maybe intermediate 3D modelling skills and I still feel like a mad inventor when I print what I designed. Love the videos James!

You can use tether car wheels (hard rubber with aluminum rims). They are easily good for 200mph+

absolutely and delightfully mental! What you’re doing is just way too cool! Glad you got your dad to join in to help. And wow, a nice Jimny and a super clean Mini!! You have amazing taste in cars :).

Wow the confidence with which you're taking on the records of the RC world is relentless!

Been in the rc world for years and the most helpful thing is always local advice. The guys out there running them where you are will be able to give you the most applicable advice for you, especially regarding wheel/tire choice and suspension settings.

Please feel free to do longer videos if you're able, I'm sure people would like the idea as much as I would.
