Reading comics & collecting the X-men cards I always thought Logan looked like Clint Eastwood. Once I saw Scott with a beard, I thought he should be the new Logan too!!

When I was a kid in the 80's and 90's my family was a huge into westerns...When I saw Clint in the good the bad and the ugly, with that stogie in his mouth... I was like "That's wolverine from the comic books"... Scott should be the reboot of this character. He got my vote

If any hype exists because of this it's only because of the resemblance to Hugh. They should not mould the character around the actor simply because everyone loved Hugh's representation. There's also the point that nobody knows how Disney and Marvel want to present Logan. We all know there are different versions of him in the comics. Scott may look like Hugh but that doesn't mean he'd bring the same physicality to the character. And on a personal note I don't wish to see the studio attempt to recreate what Hugh brought, it seems easy and full of fan service. One of the best things about characters being recast is that you get to experience a different perspective on that character. Hollywood copies enough as it is.

About 5 years ago, I was watching a Clint Eastwood movie, and this is exactly what I was thinking, if Clint Eastwood was younger he'd be a perfect wolverine.

The reason you can't hardly tell the difference between the "original" and "deepfake", is because of Hugh Jackman's initial resemblance to Clint Eastwood in the first place. The only problem I have with Scott Eastwood, is that while he may have inherited his father's looks, he didn't inherit his father's "It" factor. And without the "it", you can't do the "SNIKT".
