Here after Hilary Hahn's performance of Ernst's Erlkonig for solo violin, just want to find out how the original vocal piece sounds like. This is beautiful and inspiring! And I like the nice change in the colour that separates the 4 characters, narrator, little boi, his daddy, and the title role Erlkönig. It's amazing a human voice can do so many changes in the colour in one piece! Now I just need to go back to practice 40 hours a day and, hopefully one day I can replicate that on the violin. Thank you!

Incredible performance on both parts. And who is this pianist? She is absolutely stellar.

All that you could wish for: a wonderful dramatic baritone instrument with all the color flexibility for character painting, unusually good support of the text meaning at any given point in the piano (a thing I look for), flawless attacks and releases from both artists, which is what creates and sustains the wild forward momentum, and for once, the accompanying artist is permitted to support the drama whole force with her face.😊 What I loved on top of all the other thrills was the German so crisp, clear, and naturally nuanced grammatically that I could actually kick back and just enjoy a walloping good storyteller's narration of the dreadful story, without thinking about the language. Even if the singer is a native speaker, this isn't to be assumed an easy job.

I do adore. Very great performance of a terrific masterpiece. Voice smart, powerful and subtile. The pianist is gorgeous. Mille bravissimi and gracie.
