I like his Garden of Eden example because, in my mind, Marx was an acolyte of the adversary.

Of course marxism communism, socialism are religions. A religion is a set of faiths.

The single biggest problem I have with this stuff is the notion that the 'enlightened people' are pushing 'fairness for all' in a way that suggests they're just trying to do everyone a favour.

If this were true, there would be no need to force anyone to agree. That fact that this stuff has to be forced upon society & any opposition crushed, clear demonstrates that this stuff only benefits those pushing it. So if they're not really doing anyone a favour, what is it that they're trying to achieve?

If you strip away the specifics and focus on the psychology that motivates the behaviour, is it really about envious & resentful immature narcissistic tyrannical bully types who just want power & dominion over others to compensate for their insecurities? I really think it's time to examine the behaviour and identify the true motivation because we can't afford to follow disingenuous people to hell.

Marx's economy also starts with a finished product, a commodity, which he analyzes backwards in time to find the source of its value, and not like many other economists who start before something is made and analyze why anything occurs. It is therefore no wonder, when socialists take over, that they are unable to produce anything on their own. Which is not surprising when their solution to the "mud pie problem" is that all work must be useful, i.e., produce a use value, which they know only in hindsight when they consider a capitalist economy, and not before, which they need when they have taken over.

It is the productive carrying the non-productive. Which would be acceptable, should the non-productive be reasonable, truly in need, and a smaller number than the productive. The problem is that there are non-productive who are capable but have no interest or intellect to be productive. With the previous comment, the productive lose incentive to carry a worthless non-productive population. Scandanavian countries are examples of this scenario working...until recently. When those populations were homogenous and sharing of the same values, being taxed heavily to provide for social services was acceptable.
