IIRC first images are from Nat Geo. The plane was landed by remote control. They did that in Laguna Salada in Baja California, Mexico.
You still can see the remains of the plane in km 12-13 carretera a san felipe. It is on the East side of the road.

Only time it's been diffrent (that I know of) is the show Manifest. In Manifest the airline was called Montego Air. This is because the plane was doing a Montego bay to JFK flight when it crashed in water and revived itself.
