Something that breaks my heart is that moments later Finn questions why he was in a dungeon if he didn't remember getting into one, implying that he continued adventuring until his life couldn't take it anymore. man...

that sob, goddamn jeremy. and goddamn this whole depiction. the sweats and panic as the immense crushing suffocation of dread closes in. they did this so much justice. the sickening grief over a bond beyonds bonds and the reliance of a lone human boy in a crazy magical world on his funny wise older bro who could shape himself into a solution to so many problems. jake was his world and his heart. i cri everytjme

The worst part is: those parasites usually uses good memories to keep the host on their control, but not even the best memories of Finn are actually good because of his incredible pain over Jake's death, thats how he scaped the parasites

It's not just tge fact that jake died. It's the fact that it happened SO SOON after the series finale. He died when finn was still relatively young(I'd say about early 20s). So finn spend the rest of his life mourning him by adventuring until his body gives out, all the while wishing he dies so he can see jake again. Finn never fell in love, never even got close to someone that much again. The fact that that was Finns life after the show is dark and gut wrenching. Imagine growing up watching this show and all it's episodes making your day brighter, and now realizing that your favorite character lived a canon miserable life after the show ended. Personally i think they shouldn't have showed this. They should have put finn and jakes story to rest after the series finale.

These people really know how to write. Show his inner turmoil and trauma about losing Jake in the beginning of the Episode.

Then later when hes about to be reincarnated, he admits to Jake how painful it was without him.

I will say the writers took this show to such an unbelievably dark and depressing end. I can see the beauty in it but still I would have preferred, I'm sure I'm not the only one, for Finn and Jake to have a brighter more celebratory end. But no we got a depressing one.

Just realized that the 50 flavor ice cream probably represents the 50th dead world. So when Finn says “we’re supposed to eat the 50 flavor ice cream together” maybe that metaphorically means “we’re supposed to go to the 50th dead world together, ” but Jake died before Finn, so Finn wasn’t at peace and therefore not able to go to the 50th dead world. That is SAD

The way this is such an accurate depiction of the dread and realisation of death, the way it makes you spiral out of terror from the finiteness of life. This hits too deep for me as I have a fear of death.
