This is the EXACT type of video I’m interested in! I’ll probably never get my private pilots license, but I’m seriously interested in the mechanics of ALL aspects of flying...especially w/the Cirrus. Thanks again..2👍🏻👍🏻

Good to see a Cirrus pilot who knows how to flare!😀

If you try to flare and you balloon up the aircraft is telling you that it has too much energy (speed) to land. What speed are you coming in on final?

Feel free to shoot me an email if it easier.

Each Cirrus model have different V speeds for flaps and in the pattern and on final. The heavier newer Turbo with the big carbon fiber prop will not make the runway without throttle power. The Turbo is 80kias over the numbers. And about 10% power. Once over the runway and leveled off, the throttle is pulled back in tandem with the stick. On calm standard days you will hear the stall horn. If there is wind on the nose and/or it's a cold day the plane will tend to fly/float a little and the mains touch before stall horn.

I have a 2010 22t with fiki and ac. I’ve been landing at 85kts roughly and I get wheel shimmy when landing. Is this because I’m going to fast? I’ve had mechanics chekc and front wheel is good to go.

At what point do you cut the power to idle?

I don't think I want to fly a plane that Noone can confirm standard Vspeeds on.

Cirrus says 80 KIAS on short final, but it seems to be giving me too much float and I seem to balloon during roundout. I see in this video you used 75 knots, does it feel alright to you?

Nice video. I feel like when I land, I'm landing more flat than I should. I mean the mains are clearly touching first, but just from what my eyes tell me, it looks flat. When I do try to pull back a little, I tend to balloon up. (SR20)

I do it slower. 77 - 1kt per 100 lb below MTOM. Most days i touch down with 72, 73
