I've got this pattern, but not made it yet. It's now going to be next on my list. I find an easier way to gather stitches is to use a zig zag stitch, running a piece of 4ply yarn through the centre. Then pull on the yarn to gather. I don't find it as fiddly as pulling on two threads. X

Excuse if this is a silly question how do you know how much to pull in the gathers ? I am trying to make this now as a newbie

No not true not showing how too sew this dress properly you should be showing every detail as to showing how the neckline is sewn not sew off camera then iron then camera on afterwards beginners sewers don’t see it properly as a professional dressmaker don’t skip overlock and nip cuttings too any garment makes it confusing should show step by step instructions and different machines your using such as overlocker and sewing machine so forth
