CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Kate (Meg Ryan) joins Leopold (Hugh Jackman) in the 19th Century just in time for him to announce their marriage.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Filmmaker James Mangold follows his Oscar-winning drama Girl, Interrupted (1999) with this whimsical fantasy. Meg Ryan stars as Kate McKay, a modern female executive in New York City whose drive to succeed in the cutthroat corporate world has left little time for romance. When her genius ex-boyfriend Stuart (Liev Schreiber) opens a portal in time, the experiment transports Leopold (Hugh Jackman) from 1867 to the present day. A charming bachelor and the royal "Third Duke of Albany" in his own time, Leopold is fascinated by the 21st century. As the courtly Leopold and the decidedly liberated Kate tour the town, a mutual attraction develops into something deeper, a relationship that's threatened by Leopold's temporary chronological status. Kate & Leopold (2001) was originally developed by co-screenwriter Steve Rogers as a project for star/producer Sandra Bullock, who had a hit with his film Hope Floats (1998).

It's a great ending but does anyone else want to see what happens AFTER this moment? How Kate adjusts to her new life in the past and the restrictive social constructs of the times as a duchess. Especially considering she was an independent woman of the 20th century with technology?

Leopold is the kind of guy every man should aspire to be like, a true kindhearted gentleman. Most guys today think acting like this is "gay" but it's simply being a refined man that any women would love to date.

Whoever designed her dress did a fantastic job of making it interesting and luxe for today, while also making it believable that she could get into the party back then.

Hugh Jackman is so fantastic in this role, that I always hoped that he would be in many more of these ‘in past times’ movies. He is brilliant as this English Duke.

1:22 Kirsten Schall's face is priceless.

Gotta love that dreamy smile of Hugh's in the end swoon.

It's not the clothes that are important--they're just a lovely frill. It's Leopold's gentleness, considerateness and romantic gestures that make him so appealing. Those traits have no connection to sexual preference, but I promise you, based on 42 happy years, that they do make for along and enchanting life together!

I love Otis’s expression when they say I love you. He has no idea who this woman is, but took a chance. In that moment it’s a combination of love like a parent would feel knowing their child has found their soul-mate, while still trying to keep things rolling for them. Classic. All this while his uncle is still standing with his mouth open. Also, she would never have known about Otis and gotten in the door, unless Leopold was the kind of guy who treated his butler as family.

If you ever see some of the deleted scenes, it will explain that she was there when he was suppose to announce his original wedding plans, but he left the house to chase after Stewart.Watch it and you'll see the connection.Somehow it all makes sense.Did for me!

Kristen looks very young in this movie. She still has the same face and she looks really beautiful. This was Kristen Schaal's first movie to star in before anyone knew who she is.

i think you said everything. Most women today would kill to find a guy with these kind of values and morals.Anyone that thinks this kind of guy is gay can kiss my ass.I would die to find a guy with this kind of proper upbringing.
