Annual benefit show to bring further awareness to sickle cell disease, from which she suffers herself. 100 percent of the event’s proceeds went directly to sickle cell research and The Sickle Cell Support Group of Atlanta, which T-Boz is an ambassador.

The singer, songwriter, actress, author, and executive producer performed some of TLC’s classic hits like “Creep,” “Waterfalls,” and “No Scrubs,” along with several special guests.

Performances included Kid N Play, Shanice, Dani Leigh, Paula Deanda, and many more. While special guests were Flex Alexander, Sean Gast,
Keith Stewart, Lex Lu, Mila Dawn, and Taja V Simpson, amongst others.

For those unaware of the disease, sickle cell is a group of disorders which causes the body’s red blood cells to misshapen and break down. Additionally, the effects leave a shortage of healthy cells and can block blood flow, causing much pain. As a result of her own diagnosis with the incurable disease, T-Boz continues to push forward.
