Understanding Our Food Systems is a participatory, community-engaged and action focused project led by fourteen First Nation communities in Northwestern Ontario. The project itself is a collaboration between the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and fourteen partner First Nations, with close support from various community connecting partners. The goal of the project is to support Indigenous Food Sovereignty and Self Determination in Northwestern Ontario.
