How to Identify Asbestos Siding

Many houses have asbestos cement siding, which is a mixture of Portland cement reinforced with asbestos fibers. It was first developed by Johns Manville in 1905. While it was initially believed that mixing cement with asbestos will neutralize the toxic fibers, this is not true, as when disturbed, asbestos cement siding will still release dangerous fibers in the air.
