We'll be enjoying epic views, spending time with wildlife and having the time of our life. But at the same time - dealing with high prices, bad roads, earthquakes, volcanoes and awful Airbnbs. Chile is an adventure! So join us on our journey through the longest country in the world!
In this eposide, we drive 1,500km from San Pedro de Atacama to Antofagasta to ESO's Paranal Observatory and, finally, Pichicuy where we spent the next week, which will be in the next episode.

Hello! Next January I’ll travel to Chile with my family. I’ll also visit ESO’s Paranal Observatory, driving from San Pedro de Atacama to Paranal (424 Km). Please, I would like to know if there’s gas stations along the road, and if is possible to use Waze or Google Maps during the travel. Is there mobile phone signal there? Or we need to use that old fashioned gps devices? Thank you very much!
