How to kill Deerclops | Don't Starve Together Guide

In this DST beginner's guide, I go over how I easily kill Deerclops by tanking him. I believe this is the easiest way to kill Deerclops. I'll cover what healing items, armour and weapons you will need to successfully kill the winter giant.

I managed to kill her thanks to this guide. But I didn’t know the exact day range she would spawn so she spawned in while I was relatively unprepared. Took out most of my base but at least I’m alive!

I beat him today for the first time! I didn't use this method (but looks easy to do). I led him through a swamp and let the tentacles do the work lol

Not to be rude but the footage is a little misleading since the ham bat isn’t fresh and you’re playing a character with a damage modifier of .75 so it actually took longer than normal.

A base character like Wilson with no damage modifier with a fresh hambat will kill the Deerclops before it kills them. Simply put the player has higher dps.

The fight lasts no more than a minute if done correctly. Technically speaking the player attacks about 2 times per second.

A fresh hambat deals 59.5 damage. If the player hits twice per second that is 119 damage per second.

Deerclops has 4000 health meaning it would take 34 hits to kill them. 34 x 119 = 4046.

The player is stunned when hit so the dps is slightly lower however it is still factual that Deerclops will be killed in under a minute.

Because of this factual data the best way to kill this boss is campfire tank. Anyone saying kiting Deerclops is better is entirely wrong UNLESS the preservation of your armor and health are needed.
