How cool that they put Gil Rud and Brian Kesserling's names on the jet. Gil Rud was the Boss the first year that the Blues flew the Legacy Hornets (and oversaw the transition from the A-4 to the F-18), and Brian Kesserling is the current Boss and flew the last year of the Legacies (and is transitioning to the Super Hornet).

I salute you Captain Gil Rud, thank you for your service! I'm proud to call you dad. Now we can see your name on that beautiful bird when it's hanging in my favorite museum! Go Navy!

I worked on these, from 1995 to 1999. Guess that makes me a legacy AO! #goNavy

As far as I know, CDR Frank Weisser is no longer apart of the active Blue Angels team. He has served in previous show seasons and helped in the transition process, but he's not an active member of the team.
