Moviegoers Are Flocking to 4DX Theaters to Watch 'Twisters'

Moviegoers are flocking to 4DX theaters to watch the new blockbuster movie "Twisters." It's designed to put you inside a twister. The theater provides an immersive experience that includes motion seats, wind, strobe light and scents. A button on the chair armrests even lets you decide whether to get wet or not with water. Inside Edition producer Lauren Lavelle checked out "Twisters" in 4DX for herself.

Saw Sonic 2 in 4Dx. Was almost thrown out of the seat when Sonic started running across the ocean 😂

Universal Studios has had versions of this for at least a decade now. But nice to see they’re bringing it to the masses.

I remember Earthquake (1974) they used "Sensurround" it would make sub-audible "infra bass" sound waves at 120 decibels (equivalent to a jet airplane at takeoff) it was so strong it would make the seats that has metal in it actually vibrate, it also cracked the plaster in the ceiling. I screamed it scared me so much. 😦🤣

You know when the original twister came out it was ground breaking technology. The surround sound was everything and made movies top notch. Just to see how the technology has changed and evolved amazes me everyday! I remember being in a Costco they had twister movie on and there was a little area with a screen and the speakers and surround sound and you could press the button and it would go on and you would listen. My mind was blown as a kid

I remember a bunch of these "4D' theaters/rides popped up like 10 to 15 years ago. Never thought they'd be back.

Reminds me of the “The Spider-man” ride at Island of Adventure in Universal Studios Orlando. 😮
