Hey whatsup guys OSG here with a video about Commodore Amiga games that were never released…but really should have been. I’ve spent the last week trawling through sites like Games that Weren’t which is an excellent site for knowledge of games that weren’t released and extra content that games never got.
I played 50 games in total ranging from early work in progress to full game demos and in the end I’ve whittled the list down to 10 games that I think should have gotten a release on the Amiga. A lot of the facts in this video are from Games that weren’t and a couple of other sites which ill put links to in the description below, many of which have the link to the playable game.
Also Codetapper who did this Amiga Cractro for me does a lot of work on the Games that Weren’t site and finds some great hidden sprites, music etc within the games.
I haven’t put the likes of putty squad and snow bros as although at the time these never got a release they have now and are pretty well known

Anyway without more delay lets take a look at The 10 Best Amiga Games that we never got in order of greatness

Z by Bitmap Brothers originally developed for Amiga but by the time it reached its complicated state and gameplay it was too big and expensive for the platform. It would have been nice to have it as a milestone title before the beloved Bitmap Brothers exited the Amiga market.

I loved this list. So many of these were when the amiga was dying. I wish they had come out because by 93-94, most companies switched to just releasing ports for the amiga. So disappointing

Honorable mention for the Amiga port of TFX. I thought it belonged here, but apparently the Amiga version (or at least something pretty far advanced in development) was put on a magazine Coverdisk in 1997 (4 years after the release of the DOS Version)

Thanks for this vid fella...I really enjoy your Amiga content because growing up I had a 500 and it was one of the best things about my childhood (along with my c64) 💯🔥🙏

Another great video. I'm not sure if you have already, but I think it would be great to do a best Amiga dungeon crawlers/gridders video... they are hugely popular among Amiga fans, have great graphics mostly, and some of the most well loved and well aged Amiga games. Might not be your preferred genre but I'd bet you'll find a few that you'd enjoy.

The game i wanted so bad was Witchwood by team17 it sounded real good and i think there is a demo out now of what we could of had. This list makes you sit back and think if only if only but it wasn't ment to be back then and like you say maybe one day. Great stuff as always buddy and am looking forward to the next one so until then enjoy the weather and take care.

Wow, awesome video! And Raiden, yeah come on that just HAS to be completed for the Amiga, would take top spot for shooters. One I really wanted to see completed was "Gore", but I dont think they got too far with that. Still, great video mate, well done, loved it!

Really good selection. I would add another suggestion, Universal Monsters. Apparently it was nearly ready or not depending on who you ask but I had a playable demo from CU Amiga I think and I loved it. Had a really good Knight Lore vibe to it and I would have loved to see the finished game.

Cool. And some of those unfinished/work in progress games looked and played better than a lot of the crap that got full price releases !!

It’s great that Babylon Twins eventually got released as Babylonian Twins. I vaguely recall reading the when Babylonian Twins was released.

Great upload my friend, but I can tell you it pains me to see some of these games that never made it when clearly they could’ve made the company a big bunch of money🤷🏻‍♂️

Great idea for a vid m8, like the look of these, damn pity for whatever reason they failed to appear. Babylon Twins looks class, I've played ACSYS and agree that would've been a nice looking Turrican clone. I don't remember the Raiden vid? Looks like a great port, hopefully if it's true, the full game will show up. Nice one ;)

I remember the hype for Jim Sachs's planned 20, 000 Leagues Under the Sea game that he was working on. Sadly he couldn't get the rights (either to the story, or to Disney's design for the Nautilus) and the game was never made.

Also, I don't know if any work was ever actually done on it, but at one point, Taito advertised Rastan as being one of the games coming out for the Amiga. As I recall, it was a full-page magazine ad (maybe even two pages) showing the covers for Bubble Bobble, Flying Shark, Renegade and Rastan, with all of them listing the Amiga as one of the systems they would be available for. Of those, only Rastan never made it to the Amiga.

The Raiden Amiga port eventually lived on to become the amazing Atari Jaguar and DOS port :)
