It blows my mind every time, that a bunch of enthusiasts bring us further than all governments combined.

Space and Science have reached a level of expertise surpassing all my expectations. I grew up in an era where Lithographic drawings looking out a spaceship window were imagination and Jules Verne was a Black ops superhero we didn't understand. I remember the whole world stopping as one to watch the first footsteps on the Moon. Now it is a Race to the Moon and Mars by almost every powerful country on the Planet, as a human being i could not be prouder to see all this happening and progressing to the sending of the Human Spirit to the Universe

I think making the attempt to catch the booster and starship is important, especially given how long it's taken to get to this point.
The original idea of rapid development seems to have fallen by the wayside as this launch was supposed to have happened a long time ago.
If they do not try to make the catches, it may be many months before they get the opportunity to try it. And if needed design changes are only discovered then,
more months may be required before trying again. They have the processing power to make the necessary models, and loads of sensors to record every aspect of the launch and re-entry. I think they should try to catch the vehicles the first time around. As for what happens if it has a rapid-disassembly during the catching process, either the site is built to withstand that very possible scenario, or it isn't. It would have been better to have known that before constructing the Florida site.

If the technology is already in place for a arm catch,
Let us not waste any portion of this incredibly valuable mission.

The Entire reusability aspect of SpaceX's design innovations,
are simply Brilliant. And have advanced our Space Programs by decades.
Way to Go Elon!🚀

1:45 Even the Space Shuttle was "fully reusable". What makes Starship unique is that it's _rapidly_ fully reusable.

They will need to plan for a return to pad at Starbase at reentry for the booster. That's not something you arbitrarily decide after reentry and descent to an altitude atmospherically dense enough to establish control. You can abort a return to pad and land in the ocean, but cannot abort a land in the ocean flight profile to return to pad.

I hope they try to catch it, if everything goes well, their will be many more attempts soon and more contracts to boot.

3:05 - "... as the launch mount desperately works to contain the energy released by those engines." - Are you nuts or what?! No, the launch mount isn't trying to contain anything!

Beginning to wonder if the starship will ever fly.

Test flight will not happen anytime soon, which is normal for vaporware

Starship is so powerful that a static fire test almost obliderated the platform
