There is one thing that I think when I see Hal Jordan with gray in his hair, especially in the light of Gunn making the DCU based on the Silver Age in the comics: Hal Jordan Parallax. If I get a scene with Jordan going crazy wearing a bunch of rings from dead Green Lanterns, I will lose my shit.

I just really love that both Hal and Jon are in this series and that Guy is in Superman, because with Green Lantern there’s multiple different human ones and everyone has their favorite, and so I think James Gunn wanted to make it where regardless of who your Green Lantern is you’re going to see them in this universe, Hal Jordan fans aren’t just gonna be stuck with Jon Stewart, Jon Stewart fans aren’t just gonna be stuck with Guy Gardner etc. which is great because it’ll make everyone happy in that sense

3:38 I'm honestly more excited to hear that they are FILMING then I was to hear this show announced! In the past decade DC has had more projects announced/greenlit than I can count & most of them never got off the ground. Y'all remember when Nightwing, The Blackhawks, Zatana, Gotham City Sirens, Harley Quinn, Harley/Joker, Booster Gold/Blue Beetle, Cyborg, Deathstroke, & Justice League Dark were all "in development"?

They look like they are preserving the energy of their power rings. In the show, I'm assuming they won't use their powers fully, so they can investigate mysteries wisely, and they only suit up in combat when the threats reveal themselves, thus conserving the energy of the ring. Security cameras, voice recorders, drones, weapons, vehicles, etc. A Lantern has an infinite amount of resources at their disposal to investigate extraterrestrial and earthly threats. Imagine an FBI, MIB, and Star Trek-esque space operative on steroids. That is what a Green Lantern is. Hal Jordan looks disheveled as if he has been working overtime in trying to solve whatever case in this series. This show looks like it's going to be very good!

Gunn and DC have been stating for months that it will have a True Detective vibe and when the first look comes out, people are upset it looks like True Detective.

All of the comments seem to agree that they are going the cop procedural route. I have been watching a lot of Justified (you know that show with a US Marshall featuring Timothy Oliphant) and that is what it reminded me of. James Gunn knows what he is doing.
