Once again we are back with another hitbox analysis video, today we are taking a look at garlic enjoyer himself, Wario! He has had a few ups and downs over the various games he has been trough, but it seems that in ultimate he is in particualry good form. So why don't we take a look at just that.

Seeing the hitboxes without the enlarged hands just feels so weird. Never realized how present they were until I saw this and could appreciate the difference

2:14 And now I feel the need to mention how the lingering part of Up-Tilt was greatly reduced in the "Let us nerf Wario" patch. For the better of us all, I hope we can agree.

Lucas's down smash hitbox covers his entire body, which I think makes him worth covering just based on the thumbnail potential

Was hoping to see the hit box of wario when he eats an explosive item, and to learn if the size of the explosive affects it. The damage that can do is kinda bonkers tbh

I like to picture a random Smash programmer happening upon these videos by chance and going "...shit, I left that one in the game?"

Also, that Chomp animation playing in slow-mo is pretty terrifying.

Cool Wario Fact: Wario’s down tilt attack is called the “Cockroach Crusher”. This appears to be a reference to the DS title Wario: Master of Disguise, as one part of the game involves squishing cockroaches with the touch screen.

Wario was pretty decent in Brawl, I think he was considered less good in Smash 4 than in Brawl

the grey box at 2:31 doesn't reach all the way to the right side of the screen so you can still see the background of the gameplay moving around lol

i'm a big fan of referring to wario f-tilt as the Buenos Dias Mandy

11:41 Fun fact: Rocket hitbox of waft has the most knockback scaling of any move in the game. But it has fairly low base knockback that makes it weaker than most moves in practice

Apparently theres also certain percentages, position and time where halfwaft actually kills sooner than fullwaft due to its superior base knockback beating full wafts knockback scaling

For the record, his back throw being called the Wild Swing-Ding is actually just ripping the name of the same move from Wario World.

My favorite Wario move us when Wario says "It's Wario Time!" and then warios all over the stage.

I used to think the fart was Wario’s weirdest move, but the more I think about it, the idea of a usually kid friendly humanoid character viciously biting other cutsie characters is way more bizarre. It makes sense as a move to eat items and other stuff, though.

Wario was worse in Smash 4 than he was in Brawl

A part of me tells me the weaker hitboxes are meant to stick out to the sides. I was always confused at the visuals of the waft itself ingame showing so much clouds on the sides but no hitboxes that aren't centered in Wario.
I know for a fact that Waft had some weaker splash damage on the outside of waft. That aspect being missing confused me in the later games. This actually makes it kinda clear to me.

The head model scaling with his up smash and back air remind me pf ivankov from one piece…

Wario, a brawler with some swordfighter esque hitboxes
