This world becomes crazy and scary. How do we know for sure our computers and phones don't have backdoors to listen and view us ? All new laptops and phones now have incorporated cams on top of mics. I guess the only real solution is to not use them anymore.

One more reason to not have a television.
Not a single intelligent thing was said in this bit.

don't think just because you turn off the voice control its really off ...it could be hacked and turned back on and you wouldnt even know it....I would buy a Tv unless I could PHYSICALLY remove the bottom line is the consumer has the power if every didn't buy one they would give you what you want because its ALL ABOUT THE DOLLAR

The t.v's in many of my hotel rooms have watched me. My t.v turned on in the a.m hours by itself and for about 30 seconds images of other people and then I saw myself in my underwear while in my room flashed on-screen which had to be earlier and then the screen went black. I called the front desk and maintenance took the t.v away and did not put another one in the room. Perhaps it was set up for a past or future sting and the software was still running.

Paul must be an idiot if he doesn't understand the difference between collecting unrelated data and invading consumer privacy to using new technology. Privacy needs to be protected.

This is nonsense. You have a right to privacy and not outsiders watching and stealthily listening to you and others. That information may or may not be used against you. Why would anyone go along with something so Orwellian. How about mind your own business. That's not "living in a cave", that's exercising your rights and freedom and not living in a police state.
