Liverpool want investigation into Champions League final delay - BBC News

Liverpool have called for an investigation into the "unacceptable issues" faced by fans which led to their Champions League final against Real Madrid being delayed.

Uefa delayed kick-off by more than 30 minutes, citing "security reasons".

The match at the Stade de France in Paris did not start until 20:36 BST, with Real beating Liverpool 1-0.

Police outside the ground fired tear gas as a small number of supporters tried to climb over security barriers.

It's crazy that Andy's Robertson family with real tickets directly from uefa couldn't get into the stadium. Are they holding fake tickets then? Now imagine the treatment to other ordibary fans who are not relatives to the players.

The result of the match was not what I wanted to see, but we should all be grateful that we are not mourning another Hillsborough. It's almost eerie how the French police is blaming the fans, as if they studied crisis management in Yorkshire.

I am not English but I note several things:
1- The same day there is a European rugby cup final in Marseille which went very well.
2- On the side of the Spanish supporters there were no problems.
And finally ...
3- France only had 3 months to organize this match instead of the usual 18 months Finally the match took place and overall went almost well.

As a Real Madrid fan I can feel "happy" watching other team's fans sad when they lose against us... but the Liverpool fans seem so wonderful to me that I really feel their pain. Head up. You are great, it was a night of titans, regardless of who was champion, both are the best in Europe.
