Central Florida Railroad Modelers Introduction To Prototypical Operating Sessions

In this video, we bring you an introduction to our monthly operating sessions. The layout was designed with prototypical operations in mind. OPS sessions can last up to 3 - 4 hours and run as many as 25 trains. This includes manifest freights, locals and passenger trains. So come join us as we show you what takes to pull this off, how we setup crews, give you a run down of what the dispatcher does and yes, we do have a fully functional CTC Signal System. Finally, we follow a few of the trains around the layout and explain how it all works. Again, this is just a small sample of the activity and more videos are planned to dig further into our operating sessions.

Thank you. My uncle was in charge of Libby, Mt switching log trains in an out of jneil lumber co. For 15 years. They moved him up to passenger conductor on empire builder, Spokane to whitefish. I enjoyed vacation trips with him. Got to ride in caboose at Libby. Tom q

It would be nice if you had a proper voice over, Hard time reading the text (Yellow blends to well with the image under it) from the TV on the wall. Many free programs offer Text to Voice and would be more than adequate. The Text also covers up the actual video and the reason wy people would be watching it on youtube.
