Key facts...
Electric cars dont cut carbon emissions they increase them. Power stations have to produce a much higher surplus demand for the poential of everyone charging.
Surplus energy cannot be store and is mostly produced by coal power plants.
Whereas energy stored by petrolium is used on a need to use basis.

The only improvement with electric cars is the lo-cal of polution.

Until power is generated via non poluting means, it shall always exist.
By the way it's fairly cold for this time of year. So much for climate change... or wait carbon apparently cools the planet too, when the shoe fits.
