2014 Pacific Hurricane Season Animation V2

The 2014 Pacific Hurricane Season was a very busy season in the Eastern and Central Pacific basins. A total of 23 tropical storms, 16 hurricanes, and 9 major hurricanes. One of the most notable storms of the season was Hurricane Odile which made landfall in the Baja California Peninsula in Mid-September as a major hurricane, causing significant damage and unfortunately causing several fatalities.

2014 would be the first EPAC season where it enters into the positive PDO phase after 18 years of being in the negative PDO phase between 1995-2013. This could also be the reason why this is the most active EPAC season since 1992.
